About the Australian Energy & Utility Summit 2008
In July of 2007 an unprecedented twelve CEO’s and MD’s of Australia’s utilities presented a paper at the Australian Energy & Utility Summit 2007 . They were complimented by Federal Ministers and the Executive Director of ANSTO delivered what was considered to be THE most significant Energy and Utility Summit of the year.
Over 150 utility industry experts came together and created a conference that debated real industry issues and delivered real decision makers in one central location. The recent NSW government announcement recommending the privatisation of three state owned energy retailers in NSW and divestment of some long-term leases of generation businesses sets the scene for an action packed 2008 conference
Now into its 6th successful year, the Australian Energy & Utility Summit 2008 will focus on the key topical issues facing the energy supply, transmission and distribution sectors. Including government policy and regulation, generation, production, transmission, distribution, retail, privatisation and sustainable energy issues.
Senior representatives from right across the energy and utility industry have been invited to speak at this event, including Federal Government Departments and agencies, industry regulators, private and State owned energy organizations, power generators, gas producers, transmission and distribution companies, retailers, major energy users and leading industry suppliers.
