About the City & Urban Development Summit 2007

Australia's flagship CITY & Urban Development Summit 2008 & PROPERTY Development Summit 2008 are co-located this June, enabling delegates to hear from an expert speaker panel about urban renewal strategies and commercially profitable property development.

These forums offer delegates a "one-stop" opportunity to hear from the industry’s most innovative urban and city planners and property development experts. The spotlight is on innovations, sustainability and urban regeneration.

This summit is tailored for developers, investors, government agencies, as well as urban designers and planners. The program is designed to help the industry:

  • PLAN, build and deliver innovative 21st century cities
  • REVITALISE civic places
  • REPLACE urban decay with renewal projects
  • ATTRACT dwellers to well-planned hubs
  • INTEGRATE transport systems for ease of travel
  • CREATE vibrant recreational spaces
  • REDUCE pressures on essential services (housing, utilities, transport)
  • STRENGHTEN public-private sector partnerships
  • ATTRACT investment to development hotspots
  • SUPPORT “smart” cities with high-speed, fast access services
  • IMPROVE air and quality
  • BALANCE growth with sustainability

The unique 2nd Annual City and Urban Development and Property Development Summits are running simultaneously during 23rd-24th June.

(1) City and Urban Development Summit
(2) Australian Property Development Summit

These two summits bring together distinguished speakers from the sustainable urban development and infrastructure industries – with responsibility for planning, financing and building 21st century cities.

Each summit is being run independently, but share the opening plenary sessions for 23-24 June [9.00am to 11.00am]. After these sessions, each summit will be run independently from 11.00am to 5.30pm.

Delegates will share some breaks, a cocktail reception (day one), as well as live demonstrations and viewings on the exhibition floor.
